Promisia Eileen Mary has capacity for 58 residents across both resthome care and hospital level care. In addition, there are five independent living units.
The majority of the facilities resthome residents live in residential care apartments, with a small number of resthome beds available in the hospital unit.
Before you can be admitted to any of our residential beds, you need to be assessed as needing residential care. When assessed, you will be advised whether you need a facility that offers either resthome, hospital, or dementia level care. We offer resthome and hospital level care at Eileen Mary with dementia level care available at Ranfurly Manor in Feilding.
All residents, whether in resthome / hospital rooms or internal care apartments, pay a monthly residential care fee. This fee is reviewed on an annual basis by the Ministry of Health and any changes are effective from 1 July. This fee will be paid privately or via residents government superannuation and/or government subsidy depending on a financial means assessment.
Eileen Mary enjoys an excellent reputation in the community and has an experienced and skilled team of staff who are passionate about delivering a high level of care.
We have registered nurses working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The registered nurses are supported by a strong, professional caregiving team. We take caring for residents very seriously and consider it a real privilege to care for you or your loved one.

Eileen Mary is a modern retirement village and resthome situated just a short walk from downtown Dannevirke. This close connection to the community extends to local community volunteers supporting a range of activities at Eileen Mary.

We encourage resident’s family/whānau and friends to be involved. Community volunteers are also actively engaged and this helps support a wide range of possible activities.

These are two-bedroom units and are ideal for people looking to downsize, are still relatively independent but want the advantages and conveniences of having a care facility on hand.
General Information
There is a corporate maintenance fee of $300 per month (which includes a cleaner for 1 hour per week, a gardener if required and any maintenance work)
